Crews at scene of large fire in Stoke-on-Trent | Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service

We are at the scene of a fire in Stoke-on-Trent. We were called at 3.23am this morning (Tuesday 16 June) to reports of a fire at Moores Metals on Chemical Lane. Five crews, as well as two water carriers, with one using foam, and a high-volume pump, are at the scene. People nearby are advised to keep their windows and doors closed as a precaution. We are asking people to avoid the area if possible. The cause of the fire will be determined following a fire investigation.
